What types of flooring do you inspect?DFIC inspects and consults on carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, sheet vinyl, resilient flooring, rubber flooring, and commercial flooring. Ceramic tile is not currently included.
Do you provide a written report?Yes. Reports are based on documented findings, observations, photos, measurements, and professional analysis.
Do you work with homeowners and manufacturers?Yes. DFIC works with homeowners, manufacturers, retailers, installers, contractors, builders, property managers, insurance professionals, and attorneys.
What happens during an inspection?Shawn reviews the concern, gathers relevant information, inspects site conditions, takes measurements when needed, and documents factual findings.
Do you travel outside your area?Yes, when feasible. Travel outside a 50-mile radius may include mileage, lodging, or per diem expenses.
Are your inspections independent?Yes. DFIC provides independent third-party inspections and consultations. For inspection clients, Shawn does not sell, install, or repair the flooring being inspected.
